Reviews of La Grange du Moulin

  • Ings family review of La Grange du Moulin, Fleurie holiday cottage, child aged 2 years
We had a fantastic holiday, our daughter thoroughly enjoyed her safe
surroundings in which she could explore and play. The cottage was well equipped
and had everything we needed. We enjoyed many fun days out, especially the zoo but still enjoyed our afternoons and evenings in our accommodation. We met some lovely families and it was very social, we particularly enjoyed the communal
barbecue evening. They have plenty of other activities for the kids to enjoy too.
One week was not long enough ! Thank you very much Chris and Wendy.
  • Kirkpatrick family review of La Grange du Moulin, Ruche holiday cottage, children aged 3 and 1 year
Thank you – so friendly and welcoming and helpful. So safe for the kids – great that they could explore and play and we could relax. Trampoline and all the toys in the gite a real hit too. Beautiful spot – so quiet ! Really enjoyed the vineyard walk and fabric painting/teddy bear picnic.
  • Allen family review of La Grange du Moulin, Papillon holiday cottage, children aged 6 and 4 years
We have loved our second stay at La Grange du Moulin. The children say its been the ”best holiday ever” ! They have loved making new friends, pottery and fabric painting and the pool, giving Mum and Dad the chance to relax. We’ve enjoyed a happy balance of socialising and quiet time. This is a great place to stay with young children, especially with all the extra activities offered. Thank you Wendy and Chris !
  • Pearce family review of La Grange du Moulin, Ruche holiday cottage, children aged 8, 5 and 1 yrs
We all had a wonderful stay here. Wendy and Chris were really welcoming and offered lots of great advice on things to see and do including the best places to
eat and park whilst there. The boys made lots of friends and loved having ‘free roam’ of the safe and toy packed garden. The little extras like the Teddy bear
picnic and pamper evening were lovely touches and we very much enjoyed the communal barbecue and taste du terroir evenings too. We are coming away
feeling very relaxed and could not recommend La Grange du Moulin highly enough for a great family holiday.
  • Whiting family review of La Grange du Moulin, Fleurie holiday cottage, children aged 3 and 1 yr
We’ve had a fabulous time here. Wendy and Chris have been really friendly and made us feel so welcome. The vineyard walk was excellent and so interesting.
The bbqs really enjoyable. Best thing is the children have been thoroughly entertained by the other children staying here, the pottery painting, t-shirt painting
and teddy bear picnic – making for a very relaxing holiday for all of us !
  • Miller family review of La Grange du Moulin, Ruche holiday cottage, children aged 11mths and 3 yrs
Just what was needed after 1 yr of having two small people. Out and about lots but our favourite days were those spent by the pool and in the garden where our
daughter made lots of new friends and we did too – great place, not fussy, not pretentious and very relaxing. Loved the wine tour and learning about the area.
    Sure we’ll be back !
  • Vivian family review of La Grange du Moulin, Grenier holiday cottage, children aged 5, 3 and 1 yr
Fantastic holiday for anyone with kids of primary school age or younger. This is the closest we’ve got to finding a truly safe environment for the kids to play whilst
also being able to mingle ourselves with other adults. Wendy and Chris have created something unique and we will be back !!
  • Cope family review of La Grange du Moulin, Horloge holiday cottage, children aged 4 and 1 yr
What an amazing place. We’ve had a wonderful weeks stay here at La Grange du Moulin and have loved seeing our children make friends and play safely right
outside our gite whilst we relaxed and enjoyed the local Pineau ! In the words of our 4 yr old ”its much better than the last place we stayed because I can just go
outside and theres a pool and a trampoline and a pirate ship AND a sandpit !” Even our 1 yr old has been exploring on her own (under supervision !!) more than
ever – so much so she took her first steps 🙂 Thank you Wendy and Chris for creating such a wonderful place to holiday with children.
  • Barrio family review of La Grange du Moulin, Ruche holiday cottage, children aged 4 and 2 yrs
We have had a lovely holiday, we have managed to properly relax whilst the children have been entertained (especially in the pools) The toddler pool was a real bonus for us as it was the perfect depth for both our children. The accommodation has been ideal with so many extras included for the children (booster seat, toys, bath toys and even a change mat which we didn’t expect) We have previously booked stand alone villas but this was excellent as they were able to make friends with other children and which made things more sociable for them and us.
  • Chopping family review of La Grange du Moulin, Horloge holiday cottage, children aged 7, 5 and 2 yrs
We have had a fantastic 2 wks ! A perfect family friendly environment where adults and children alike can relax and make new friends. Would come back in a
heartbeat. Thank you Wendy and Chris !!
  • Hamilton family review of La Grange du Moulin, Peche holiday cottage,  children aged 6 and 2 years
Our sixth year back here at La Grange du Moulin – says it all ! We have enjoyed trips out to the beach, La Rochelle and Cognac as well as the many on-site
activities provided for the children including pottery painting, t-shirt painting and scuba diving. The hospitality and attention to details that Chris and Wendy
provide are what makes this holiday stand out – and why we will be back again next year ! A great time had by all the family, thank you Chris and Wendy.

Reviews of Les Vallaies

  • Hill family review of Les Vallaies holiday cottages, children aged 10, 8 and 4 years, Cygne gite
Very well maintained gites with excellent child friendly pool. Owners are very friendly and helpful and live nearby and
useful source of tips and recommendations, especially for families as they have young children of their own.
  • Milne family review of Les Vallaies holiday cottages, children aged 5 and 2 yrs, Baleine gite
Great place for a kids holiday with all facilities on hand and a few other families for them to play with. Good location to visit rural France but still close enough for a trip or two to the coast if you fancy it
  • Joseph family review of Les Vallaies holiday cottages, children aged 3 and 1 yr, Cassiopee gite
Lovely clean, welcoming accommodation, well organised events which are clearly designed for young children and were enjoyed by the whole family, a great venue to socialise with other families, great information provided on what, where, how to do things.
  • Gill family review of Les Vallaies holiday cottages, children aged, 1yr, Cygne gite
Fantastic holiday ! I would certainly recommend for families with children  of all ages. Our little girl is nearly 2 and had the most wonderful time playing in the
shallow end of the pool and in the garden play area, both of which are extremely safe and child friendly so we were able to relax and enjoy the sunshine.
The cottages are expertly run and the activities put on were a fantastic way to meet other families and for the children to play. A big thank you to Wendy
and Chris for a wonderful memorable holiday.
  • McGregor family review of Les Vallaies holiday cottages, children aged 5 and 2 yrs, Cassiopee gite
A wonderful find ! Perfect balance of peace and quiet for grown ups with plenty for children to do. All the childrens/toddler equipment provided took the
stress out of packing too. Thanks for a wonderful holiday see you in 2016 !
  • Bromfield family review of Les Vallaies holiday cottages, Vierge gite,  children aged 10 & 6 yrs
Third year for us, relaxing, great company, shame about the weather but it didn’t stop the kids swimming and meeting lots of new friends (and some old ones) Vierge has a washing machine and dishwasher with your own bbq, patio table
and chairs, so great for watching the kids play in the garden whilst enjoying a glass of the local wine. Thank you again Chris and Wendy, can’t wait to see you next year !!
Reviews of Pavillon Villa
  • McAlinden family review of Les Vallaies holiday cottages, children aged 9 and 5 yrs, Pavillon villa
We have been to France a few times with the kids but this has been the best all round place we have stayed at. We felt that the children have been able to
play and enjoy the venue feeling safe and secure at all times. This place is the perfect venue for doing as little or as much as you like. The same goes for
mixing with other families. The only problem was we only booked 1 week !
  • Sheeran family review of Les Vallaies holiday cottages, Pavillon villa,  children aged 11, 10, 8 & 6 yrs
Great for the kids.Loads to see and do. Impossible to do everything in two weeks, could of done with another week. Pool was great for the kids. Great local produce and even better local wine.
  • Jeffs family review of Les Vallaies – Pavillon villa, children aged 13, 9 and 5yrs
We had a fabulous week in the villa. The large grounds interspersed with toys, swings and a trampoline kept our 3 children happy whenever we were together
there. Our 5yr old is quite clumsy and hyperactive so having accommodation all on one level was a huge weight off our minds. We found several different areas to
eat, play or just hang out both inside and outside. although we visited in a week when there were no other families, we can see how the extra privacy afforded by
the villa might appeal to some. When the sun is shining (and even when it’s not) the villa is a slice of heaven ! Thank you for a lovely week – will recommend it

Reviews of Villa Hirondelle

  • Butcher family review of Hirondelle villa  children aged 3, 7 and 9 years
A lovely villa, ideal for two families sharing, set in the heart of the Charente Maritime. The villa was set up perfectly for families with children. The pool with all its safety features provided non stop entertainment for our children, enabling us to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. It was fantastic to have access to the activities at La Grange du Moulin but lovely to return to the tranquility of Hirondelle villa. We would really recommend this villa
  • Jowett family review of Hirondelle villa,  children aged 7, 15 and 17 years
Really lovely accommodation. We all enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the rural setting. The pool was fantastic and well maintained throughout our holiday, we really enjoyed our stay. The owners have a high standard of customer service, we were really looked after during our stay. We recommend the Vineyard walk led by owner Chris who has an in depth knowledge of the subject. We would return.
  • Samols and Hollidays family review of Hirondelle Villa, children aged 8, 8, 10 and 11 years
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Hirondelle. As two families of four the accommodation was much more spacious than expected which was perfect for a large group. The heated pool provided us with huge entertainment and was also a peaceful place to sunbathe. The surrounding countryside allowed us to take a break from our busy lives. A range of shops and restaurants were only a short drive away allowing a change of scene. Our children loved the taster session of scuba diving and one of our group enjoyed his tour of the vineyard. Overall this has been a fantastic place to stay and met our needs perfectly.
